Portrait Practical...

This is a drawing that i did in one of my practicals we were asked to draw another person in the room and i found it very hard to draw a person whilst they were in front of me. i found it difficult as they were moving whilst me drew them. I don't like this drawing as it doesn't really look like the person i was trying to draw.

Self Portraits...

These are a few self portraits that i did before i came to university, there were done with a range of pencils i thought that i would include these drawings on my blog as i think it shows my progress with shading, if you look at my drawings of Aarron Johnson and Katy Perry my shading on those portraits is much better then my self portraits.

More Tattoo Designs

This is a drawing of a candy skull style tattoo however i didn't want to draw a full candy skull so i decided to change the design into a half skull half woman design, its not one of my favourite designs but i liked the idea of the half skull half woman.

This is another skull that i did but i wanted to include something else into the drawing so i decided to give the skull a monocle and bow tie. its not meant to be a realistic skull but i do like the shading i have done on it.

This was a gypsy girl design that i did, this is one of my favourite designs so far, i didn't want to include too much shading just enough to make the drawing have more depth.

Hands

Within one of the practical sessions we had to draw a range of hands, I've always hated drawing hands and well the practical didn't really change the way i felt about it, i gave a few character style hands a go and this is how they came out! its not one of my favourite images on my blog.

Skulls

Within my tattoo portfolio i decided to start drawing skulls, id never tried it before so started off with a basic skull (top) just to get the general shape, i then progressed on to the bottom drawing to add some detailed shading into the skulls.

faces

This is a drawing i did before i started university, i looked at photos of Jessie J and thats where i got my ideas from, i like the one on the right as it has a hint of colour in it whereas the one on the left was to try and work on my shading skills. i chose to do the hair in an unrealistic way as i found it more fun to draw.

Flowers

I am creating a tattoo portfolio as a personal project, and decided to start with drawing different types of flowers. the top flower was done by using colored pencils. the bottom flower was done using a combination of colored pencil and oil pastels. I'm not that pleased with the top flower as i feel that the proportions are out at the top.
This flower was created just by pencil and slight shading. I like this flower and i think  it shows a typical tattoo style which is what i was aiming for when i started it.

I drew this design just using a range of pencils, this is my favourite flower design that i have done so far because i like the shading that i have used on it.
